The majority of the City's Art in Public Buildings has been returned to display with a new location at the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. We have also re-established purchase awards to acquire works for the Art in Public Buildings collection. Through purchase awards, we acquired a work of art at Artworks Toledo, by artist Larry Fox, last year. We also instituted a purchase award for the 2005 Toledo Area Artist Show and acquired a print by local artist Matthew Squibb.

In addition to the APB program in 2006 we partnered with the office of Lucas County treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz to bring an annual exhibit of our local artists to their halls. For 2007 we are pleased to present the artwork of local artist Ruth Foote. This exhibit marks the second installation of what will be an ongoing annual partnership designed to improve the quality of experience and promote and display the richness of our local artists. All of the works on display are available for purchase. The office of the Treasurer is located at One Government Center and they invite you to stop by and see this wonderful collection.
